Connect with other teachers and school staff each week online
Connection and talking to one another during these times is vitally important for our well-being. It can feel lonely working from home and you might feel disconnected from your colleagues and school communities. We are looking to build a strong community so we can support each other, share ideas, learn as well as raising a smile!
That is why we are launching online webinars from next week for teachers, school staff and anyone interested in education. They will last for 30 minutes, be focussed on a specific topic and are really easy to access if you’re not particularly good at tech!

Our first session will feature Edapt caseworker, Josh Burke (Forbes Solicitors) who will be able to answer your employment-related school questions. We know that the coronavirus pandemic will be a worrying time and you will be concerned about your role, income, and supporting your family.
Some topics for discussion will include:
- Expectations on teaching staff when working from home
- Supply teachers pay and conditions when working for an agency
- Are teachers required to continue teaching remote lessons during the Easter holidays?
- Will the normal appraisal cycles still apply when schools are closed?
- How will NQTs qualify during this period?
You can also submit your questions using the sign-up form below.
In future weeks we will be discussing other topics such as supporting mental health and wellbeing, advice on online teaching resources and will feature different teachers, headteachers and experts.
